A Day at True North
Each day at True North, campers will trek into Bible truths and truly immerse kids in unforgettable life-changing faith formation. They will start their day at Sing and Play Peak where we will sing, dance, learn, and set the course for the day! We then break out and split into station rotations where campers will experience powerful Bible stories, learn daily Scripture, snacks, discovery and creativity, and crazy fun games! We will end each afternoon with our Compass Closing filled with more singing, dancing and sharing all that we learned throughout the day! We cannot wait to explore the love Jesus has for us and how we can trust Him with you this week at True North day camp!

Field Trips

Every day after our True North Day Camp program, we will embark on fun-filled field trips! If your camper is joining us on field trips this week, please send them with a packed lunch and full water bottle when you drop them off in the morning as we’ll eat lunch together before we leave on field trips!

Monday: Beach Day – All camp staff and campers walk together to Francis Beach where we play on the sand in a coned off boundary. No camper will go near the ocean water at any time.

Tuesday: Wacky Water Day – Slip n slide, water balloon fight, water slide and other fun water activities in the backyard at Mariners Church! Make sure to pack a change of clothes and a towel as we’ll be getting wet! If you would like to send your child dressed in swim clothes underneath their camp shirt at drop off, you are welcome to do so.

Wednesday: Movie Day – Movie will be watched on-site in our main sanctuary where we start and end every day at True North day camp. Popcorn will be provided to campers during the movie.

Thursday: Zoo Day – We will be taking a school bus to the Oakland Zoo. Due to distance, there may be a possibility we arrive back at church a little later than 4pm this day. We will keep parent/guardians updated on our ETA.

Friday: Bouncy House Day – Bounce houses, jumpy slide, and an obstacle course at Mariners Church will be the fun field trip finale! You and your family are welcome to join your camper for the final day of fun at 3:00pm. We will provide snacks and water during the jumping and running around time as well. **Preschoolers and campers who did not register for field trips are invited to join us for our fun jumpy family finale!

Scholarships

Camps are very important to our work with children and youth at Mariners Church. We believe that camps can help students grow deeper in faith, help establish a solid community while they grow in their faith, and serve as a way for students to get connected to our church. Plus, they are fun! We never want cost to be the reason a student cannot attend one of our camps or events. We are willing to partner with families to enable their child to attend any event and we want our scholarship funds to benefit as many students as possible. We anticipate that each family will be paying whatever they are reasonably able to afford. Our Scholarship request form is designed to help Mariners Church track how much scholarship money is being requested for each event.
