El Centro Cristo Nueva Vida Church opened its doors and held its first service.

January 21st - 27th, 2024 -  Pastor Paul and an outstanding team of wonderful volunteers, led by Scott Holmes, traveled to Palo Alto, Mexico this week to work on the interior of our new partner church building!  We are grateful for your continued prayers for the blessed outcome of this church.  Please keep them in your prayers.

About Mariners’ First Fruits Ministry

Before Covid there was a plan at Mariners church to expand Children’s Ministries, create a courtyard environment for people to meet and fellowship, and provide an elevator. Prior to this endeavor, Pastor Paul had a vision to partner with another church family somewhere in another country. To walk alongside them and develop a reciprocal relationship. Pastor Paul and the Steering Team determined 10% of the New Wave fund would go to support a partner since the congregation so generously gave.

New Wave First Fruits was born and the NWFF team embarked on a search to find the best partnership for us.  God matched us with a movement in central Mexico in an area referred to as the Circle of Silence. The objective is to plant five churches in five years with the primary location being Palo Alto.

Both projects stagnated during Covid; however, God’s timing is now and both churches are moving forward. New Wave’s First Fruits Ministry is part of a long-standing vision held by church leadership to find and reach a ‘valley or village’ somewhere in the world that does not know Jesus! Through God’s grace we were led to an area in Mexico known as the Circle of Silence, were less than 2% of the population does not know Jesus Christ.

The ministry is advancing in its goal to plant five new churches in this area. We are happy to report that our first new sister church, located in Palo Alto, Aguascalientes is underway and this build is estimated to be finalized in early 2024.

The Circle of Silence – Mexico

God is giving us a wonderful opportunity to partner with Betsy & Valentin under the supervision of Jim Culp at a ground floor level. The church in Palo Alto is just beginning, yet God is already growing and blessing it. As we move forward in this long-term reciprocal relationship with Jim, Valentin & Betsy, we pray God’s blessing, protection, and favor over it.
