Ever since Adora Palmer can remember, she had an enduring faith. Perched on her mother’s lap, Adora remembers being sung hymns at the age of four.  She has no memory of being without Jesus.

Adora had a marriage made in heaven. She made a change in her school plans, switching from UC Berkeley to St. Joseph College of Nursing. There she met her future husband Alan.

Her husband’s work had them moving all over the United States. They had three small children and Adora went in search of a church for their family. It wasn’t easy, but eventually she found one and the whole family got involved.

Eventually, the Palmers moved back to the Bay Area and they started attending the La Honda Church of the Redwoods. Adora’s mom, the one who had always kept Adora close to God growing up, moved to Half Moon Bay and had started attending Mariners Community Church. By now the children were grown and soon after that, Alan and Adora moved back to the coast from La Honda, and have been attending Mariners ever since.

Adora loves many things about Mariners but mostly, she loves her LifeGroups. She describes herself as a LifeGroup “junkie.” Each group has its own dynamic and blessings. Adora lost her wonderful husband Alan, three years ago, but she knows God will provide. God continues to keep unfolding our lives according to His plan.
