You’ve heard it before: No one is an island. Batman has Robin, Scooby has Shaggy, and even the Lone Ranger had Tonto (and, contrary to what you’ve heard, “Kemosabe” means faithful friend).

An awesome thing about believing in Jesus is becoming part of a family. The Bible says, You are members of God’s very own family… and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian. (Ephesians 2:19 LB).

One of God’s five purposes for your life is FELLOWSHIP. Fellowship is more than hanging out and drinking coffee and eating donut holes. Fellowship is being together in a local church where we actually become family and where we practice loving each other, forgiving each other, encouraging each other, and helping each other.

Since this is one of God’s purposes for our lives, this month at Mariners we want you to grow in this awesome thing of fellowship. Each week we will be giving you opportunities to get involved with others, in LifeGroups, and in connection events designed just for you.

I can’t wait to see what God does this month!

Your “Kemosabe,”

Pastor Paul
